Deina Warren, LL.B., LL.M. earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Ottawa and articled as a Judicial Law Clerk in the Superior Court of Justice.
Called to the Ontario Bar in 2009, Deina then pursued her LL.M. at Osgoode Hall, which she successfully completed in 2012. Deina’s practice focuses largely on constitutional and human rights law and she has served as co-counsel in a variety of courts on matters including interventions in Ktunaxa at the Supreme Court, Trinity Western before the Nova Scotia Court of Queen’s Bench and Court of Appeal, Trinity Western before the Supreme Court, and CMDS v CPSO before the Ontario Divisional Court.
Deina provides research, legal writing and advocacy support for criminal and constitutional law colleagues, was a panelist at the Ontario Bar Association’s Human Rights Update (2017), and is a regular contributor to the Gospel Coalition Canada.
Terrible at keeping houseplants alive, she nonetheless still attempts to garden, enjoys cooking, reading fiction, running, and is eagerly awaiting the chance to adopt a rescue dog (or two).
